Release Date: November 6, 2026 | Mega Evolution Series Expansion (ME06)
The sky serpent is back — Mega Rayquaza ex headlines Delta Reign on November 6, 2026.
Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign is the sixth main expansion of the Mega Evolution Series (set code ME06) and the English adaptation of Japan's Storm Emeralda. It's built around one of the most beloved cards in the hobby's history: Mega Rayquaza, whose 2015 "Emerald Break" era cards remain grails for a generation of players. The set draws its theme from the Delta Episode — the meteor-crisis storyline from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire that gave Rayquaza its Mega Evolution in the games.
Alongside the dragon, Mega Golisopod ex has been confirmed, and the set introduces the first genuinely new mechanic of the Mega Evolution era: connected Stadium cards — split Legendary Stadiums played simultaneously that count as a single Stadium in play.
Because Storm Emeralda released in Japan on July 31, 2026, we're in the familiar window where Japanese singles prices preview the English market three months early. Here's everything confirmed, plus what the Japanese data says about which cards to chase.
Rayquaza is one of the few Pokemon whose premium rivals Charizard's in specific eras — the 2015 Mega Rayquaza-EX full arts and the Shiny Rayquaza-GX are permanent top-of-binder cards. A new Mega Rayquaza ex, in the era that finally brought Mega Evolution back to the TCG, is the most pre-sold chase card of late 2026. Expect its Special Illustration Rare and any top-slot hyper rare version to anchor the entire set's value, the way Mega Darkrai ex did for Pitch Black.
Mega Golisopod ex is the other confirmed Mega so far. Golisopod has a cult following (First Impression was a competitive terror in the games), and Bug-type Megas are rare enough that collectors of the type tend to show up. Sleeper SIR potential if the artwork lands.
The Delta Episode storyline is inseparable from Deoxys and space/meteor imagery — and collectors have already flagged that theming in the revealed Japanese cards. Expect the set's Illustration Rares to lean into night skies and cosmic scenes, which historically grade and display well. As more of the English list is confirmed we'll update this guide; the full revealed list so far runs about 113 cards before secret rares.
Delta Reign introduces connected Stadium cards — the first new mechanic of the Mega Evolution era:
Mechanically, this is a design space The Pokemon Company hasn't touched before, and it has obvious implications for competitive deckbuilding — a "double Stadium" effect is a stronger board state than any single Stadium printed to date. For collectors, first-of-a-mechanic cards tend to hold nostalgia value long after rotation, the way the first ACE SPEC and first Prism Star cards did.
Storm Emeralda hit Japanese shelves on July 31, 2026 — which means the English market gets a three-month preview of pull rates and chase hierarchies before Delta Reign's November 6 launch. Historically, the Japanese-to-English signal is strong on relative ranking (which SIR leads the set) even when absolute prices shift with print-run differences.
We'll fold live per-card prices into our set pages when English product is indexed — in the meantime the value checker covers the Japanese cards if you're importing.

Two Stadium cards played simultaneously from your hand that count as one Stadium in play — a first for the TCG, debuting as split Legendary Stadiums in this set.
About 113 cards have been catalogued from the main set so far. The final English count including secret rares will be confirmed closer to launch — ME-era sets have typically added 30-40 secret rares on top of the main list.
It's the final main expansion announced for the Mega Evolution era's 2026 calendar, following Pitch Black (ME05) and the commemorative 30th Celebration set. What follows in 2027 hasn't been announced.
